ScreenLoop Signage is a Chrome extension that displays websites you choose as a rotating signage playlist. It operates locally in your browser and does not send your playlist, browsing activity, or settings to the publisher. The extension contains no analytics, advertising, tracking services, or remotely hosted executable code.

Information stored on your device

ScreenLoop stores the following in Chrome’s local extension storage:

Playback state, playlist URLs, tab and window identifiers, timing, and overlay error notices are stored in Chrome’s session storage. Temporary interaction deadlines are also held in memory to manage control visibility and the idle pointer. Extension settings are not stored using Chrome Sync.

Website access and permissions

ScreenLoop opens your chosen websites in normal browser tabs. Those websites receive ordinary browser requests and process information under their own privacy policies. Chrome and the websites manage your login sessions. ScreenLoop does not read passwords, cookies, or dashboard content, and does not detect whether you are logged in; page readiness is confirmed by you.

ScreenLoop uses these Chrome permissions:

Website access is requested when you confirm a page, enable controls in settings, or use the popup’s Enable controls action. You may decline access and still rotate tabs without overlays. Bundled fictional demo pages do not require website access.

On managed pages with overlays, ScreenLoop handles pointer activity, keyboard events, and control interactions to show or hide controls, dismiss or activate actions, and restore the pointer. It does not record typed text or transmit these interactions.

Sharing and support

The extension does not sell, share, or transmit locally stored extension data to the publisher, advertisers, or analytics providers. There is no ScreenLoop backend receiving that data.

If you email support, the information you choose to include is provided through email rather than collected by the extension. Please avoid sending passwords, access tokens, private dashboard URLs, or other sensitive information. The support address is available for questions about the extension and this policy.

Your choices and data removal

You can edit or remove pages in Manage pages and save the updated playlist. You can revoke website access in Chrome’s extension settings. Revoking access prevents overlays on the affected websites but does not delete your saved playlist.

Reset settings to defaults restores timing and display preferences and clears setup drafts. It retains saved page URLs, names, and Chrome site permissions.

Pause stops automatic rotation and refresh while retaining open tabs. Stop & close signage closes display tabs tracked during the current browser session, including earlier playlists, while retaining saved settings and unrelated or setup/login-check tabs. Session tracking resets when Chrome restarts.

Local settings and drafts remain until changed, cleared, or the extension is uninstalled. Uninstalling ScreenLoop removes its Chrome extension storage. It does not remove website accounts, cookies, browser history, or information stored by the websites themselves.
